What We’re Reading – The Bussingers

With only 4 days until Christmas and a long car trip coming up, I decided to wait on reading our favorite Christmas book until we are safe and warm at Grandma’s house.
We have read The Best Christmas Pageant Ever for 3 years now during this season. It is such a fun book -lots of humor. And it teaches a very important lesson about grace and the real meaning of Christmas.
For our road trip, we checked out the audiobook version of The Hobbit. I went to the movie last night with some friends and I promised the girls that after we listened to the book I would take them.

Along with The Hobbit – we each checked out a book to take along. Raven was finally able to find the next book in her series at the library – IceFire. Denna chose a Geronimo Stilton. I was so impressed with the first book in the Beyonders series that I just had to read the second – Seeds of Rebellion.
The girls also each checked out a manga drawing book to bring with their sketchpads.
For my Nook, I have stocked my e-shelves with several of the Harry Dresden books – as recommended to me by several aficionados.
That should be enough material to keep us reading through this holiday break!
What are you reading this Christmas season? Any good Christmas books that we should add to our list? Link or comment below!
Our family wants to wish you a safe and blessed Christmas this year!

Aw, I LOVE “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” Such a fun book… There aren’t enough really wonderful Christmas-related chapter books out there, so it’s exciting when you find a good one.
